Yes, the Goosechase app is free to download on iOS and Android.
Do I need to download the app to participate?
No. Goosechase also works on a web browser, so if you're on a device without easy access to the App Store or Google Play, you can join an Experience directly from a link, no download required. The app is still available for iOS, Android, and Chromebook, and works great if you prefer it.
What devices does Goosechase work on?
Goosechase works on iOS and Android phones and tablets, Chromebooks, and any device with a web browser. If you can open an app or a browser link, you're good to go.
Do I need to create an account to join?
No. When you open the Goosechase app or follow a browser invite link, you'll have the option to continue as a guest. No email address, no password, no sign-up form. Guest mode works the same as a full account for playing, your activity just stays on your device rather than tied to an account you can access elsewhere. If you decide you want an account later, you can create one and your progress carries over.
What do participants actually do in Goosechase?
Once you're in, your organizer's Experience is a dynamic list of Missions (tasks) you complete to earn points. Missions can be anything: answering a question, snapping a photo, submitting a short video, or checking in at a GPS location. You submit your answers through the app or browser, watch them appear in the activity feed, and track your team's standing on the leaderboard. Think of it like a modern scavenger hunt.
