Yes. The Educator Basic plan is always free for verified K-12 educators, with no time limit and no credit card required. It supports up to 5 teams per Experience, unlimited Experiences, and one live Experience running at a time, which is plenty for trying it out with a single class. Teachers who need more can upgrade. Goosechase is built to support FERPA and COPPA compliance and adheres to GDPR guidelines in how student data is collected, used, and protected. Goosechase holds signed NDPAs with hundreds of school districts and has earned certifications from SDPC and Digital Promise. Students can join from any device with a web browser, or any device with the Goosechase app installed, including Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices. You share an invite link, QR code, or join code, and they're in. No Goosechase account is required: students can play as a guest regardless of how they join, which means no email address, no password, and no sign-up form between them and the activity.
Yes. Students and teachers can now participate via any web browser, no download or app store approval required. For schools where device management or app installation is a barrier, this means fewer hoops for IT and faster setup for everyone. The Goosechase app remains available for iOS, Android, and Chromebook for those who prefer it.
Goosechase is used across K-12, but it works best when students are comfortable navigating an app or website independently.
